We use our shipping partners to track and deliver all of our orders. Can a person pass a Think Twice DUI Test and still get arrested for drinking and driving? Yes. It is up to the arresting police officer’s discretion when they choose to arrest someone for a DUI. Any level of intoxication is grounds for arrest. Does a Think Twice DUI Test provide a specific BAC result? No. The DUI Test indicates if the user is at or above 0.08% BAC. It is a Pass/Fail device that will only indicate if the BAC level is at, above, or below the specified level on the unit. Questions About Our Digital Breathalyzers? Do consumer breathalyzer use the same sensors found in police breathalyzers? Our consumer devices are equipped with an electrochemical sensor, a sensor of the same type as those used in police-grade breathalyzers. How accurate are your breathalyzers? Our breathalyzers are fitted with an electrochemical sensor for results with a margin of error at ± 5%, and those equipped with a semi-driver sensor display a margin at ± 10%. Furthermore, these margins of error are similar to other breathalyzers and several other electronic devices (other than breath alcohol testing) sold on the market. ACCURACY ± 0.05 (at 0.05%) When the device indicates an error margin of +/- 0.05 = error margin of 5% = 95% accurate device = the accuracy of the device is within +/- 5% of the actual value.Important note: Police officers' devices usually have a margin of error of 5%, which is the same margin as most of our detectors. The type of sensor inserted in this type of breathalyzer is an electrochemical sensor. Also, the display of the result of this type of breathalyzer is expressed with three digits after the decimal point (example: 0.080, 080, 0.082).1. For example, for a rate of 0.100 (the legal limit being 0.080, so a rate a little above the limit), that person's alcohol level could vary on a scale between 0.095 and 0.105.2. BAC is the acronym of blood alcohol content. This rate corresponds to the numbers shown on your breathalyzer when you blow into the device. Can I reuse my mouthpiece? Yes, all of our mouthpieces provided with the packaging of our devices or sold separately are reusable and washable, use warm soapy water to clean. Can I use my breathalyzer outside in the winter? Yes, but only on at acceptable temperature thresholds for the device. Please consult your instruction manual for more information. By contrast, it is strongly recommended not to keep your breathalyzer in cold or warm temperatures, particularly in your car, where the temperatures differ significantly. The hot and cold can affect the sensor (the centerpiece which detects the rate of alcohol) and, it could possibly render the device unusable due to the moisture within the interior of a vehicle. What is the best way to preserve my breathalyzer? Always keep your device inside at ambient temperature. Make sure the breathalyzer is not used/stored in environments that are extremely hot or cold or subjected to direct light. Leaving the device in your car should be avoided at all costs due to the large fluctuations in temperatures. How many times do I need to calibrate my device? It is recommended to calibrate your breathalyzer every 6 to 12 months or 100 to 1000 tests, depending on the type of device you have and your usage. If yes, what is covered? Yes, our breathalyzers are guaranteed a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase. Please retain your invoice as proof. The warranty covers parts and labor (with the exception of the sensor). The damage caused by improper use and poor handling is the responsibility of the owner. What do I do if my device is defective?
